Frutura, Austria’s leading producer and marketer of fruit and vegetables, supplies food retailers with fresh produce of the highest quality – just in time and in large volumes. Frutura decided to introduce SAP S/4HANA as its new central ERP system in order to optimally support the company’s growth and the increasing demands on logistics, quality and traceability.

A key objective was to replace industry-specific specialist solutions with a standardized platform. With the integrated SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) in SAP S/4HANA, Frutura was able to digitally map all putaway and picking processes, including:
- Packaging processes & control of packaging lines
- Disposition of fruit, vegetables and packaging material
- Maturity process control
- Personnel planning in production
- Traceability & proof of quality
